Internships – Essential foundation for any recruitment strategy
Otak2 was started in 2009 with the goal to fill a huge gap in the work landscape in Malaysia – the lack of a structured, selective and challenging internship program for Malaysian students that helped to bring together passionate student leaders from all backgrounds and to allow companies to connect with the best talent before they graduated.
We assist companies in understanding where and how to best source for interns – we handle all aspects of recruitment and initial selection, and ensure that the company is able to offer a holistic learning experience for any student it takes on. We currently run the “Top 50” program between June – August each year, and also assist with off-season internship placement throughout the year.

“The War for Talent”, as coined by McKinsey in their report about global talent a few years back is raging on more intensely than ever. This rings true particularly in Malaysia. Training – Off the Beaten Path
Once the founders of Otak2 started work in corporate & non-corporate Malaysia, we quickly found that the training landscape was littered with expensive, cookie-cutter type presentations, often presented by lecturers flown in from overseas to deliver ‘speeches’ about topics that most Malaysian audiences couldn’t relate to.
We believe in a need for non-traditional, unique and ‘against the norm’ training in Malaysia – for both big companies and startups alike.
