Premium Renewable Energy (Premium RE) is a Malaysian company formed in partnership with Ensyn Technologies, Canada (http://www.ensyn.com) a global leader in the pyrolysis technology and developer of the commercially proven Rapid Thermal Processing (RTP™ technology. Premium RE is also in technology partnerships with UOP Honeywell, USA (http://www.uop.com) and Envergent Technologies, USA (http://www.envergenttech.com).
Premium RE focuses on deploying the RTP™ technology for the generation of renewable power and production of “drop-in” green transportation fuels from biomass. It holds the exclusive rights to commercialise the RTP™ technology in Malaysia and other parts of the region. The RTP™ technology is a process which adds value to oil palm and other biomass material found in Malaysia by converting it to pyrolysis oil also known as bio oil which can then be used for bioenergy or biochemical applications. Work currently is underway to develop the conversion of bio oil to “drop-in” green transportation fuels. Premium RE was recently identified as one of the key initiative owners to deliver the commercialisation of second generation biofuels for Malaysia under the Palm Oil & Rubber National Key Economic Area (NKEA) in Malaysia’s Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).

Internship Scope
Our technical internship offers you the opportunity to see what it is like to work in a young technology company set out to make a difference. You will be working with a team of highly experienced senior business and engineering professional. You will have the opportunity to contribute towards setting up of a commercial scale plant to produce bio oil and a power plant to produce green power and help answers some of the real life engineering and business questions involved in the setting up of such plants. We are looking for an intern who is interested in an all-rounded exposure into technology project development and the interesting challenges that comes with it.
